2016 Az. Agr. Fratelli Cigliuti Barbaresco “Serraboella”, Piedmont, Italy

2016 Az. Agr. Fratelli Cigliuti Barbaresco “Serraboella”, Piedmont, Italy

ABOUT THIS WINE

Serraboella is one of Neive’s most esteemed vineyard sites, known for producing Barbaresco wines of intensity, structure, and longevity. Its calcareous-clay soils and favorable exposures contribute to Nebbiolo’s aromatic complexity and tannic precision, yielding wines that are both powerful and refined.

From 3 ha of 65-year-old, southwest-facing Nebbiolo vines. Maceration and fermentation for 15-20 days in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts, then aged 26 months in 70% Slavonian oak casks and 30% French oak tonneaux (mostly used, up to 8 years old).
