2023 Brooks Winery Pinot Noir "Cahiers", Willamette Valley, Oregon
ABOUT THE WINE
The 2023 âCahiersâ is a blend of Pinot Noir sourced from several of Brooks' organically and biodynamically farmed vineyard sites across the Willamette Valley. True to vintage and place, it offers purity of fruitâred cherry, cranberry, and rhubarbâinterwoven with savory undertones of mushroom, dried herbs, and earth. Aged in neutral French oak, the wine maintains transparency and freshness, allowing its vineyard character to shine through.
Winemaking is minimalist: native fermentation, no fining or filtration, and low sulfur additions, resulting in a wine thatâs both expressive and structurally sound. The name âCahiersâ (French for ânotebooksâ) reflects the wineryâs ongoing dialogue between land, vine, and vintage. Enjoy it alongside cedar-planked salmon, duck confit, or mushroom risotto.
