The 2023 Domaine deâŻLuceyâŻâLeâŻSarrasin" is a vibrant red from Savoie, grown on steep, limestoneârich slopes around Lucey. Domaine deâŻLucey itself is a youthful but thoughtful project founded in 2022 by ErwanâŻBuchwalter, who revitalized the historic ChĂąteau deâŻLucey vineyards. The 6.5âhectare estate, farmed organically since 2013 and certified in 2016, focuses on biodynamic practices and minimal cellar intervention to let terroir and grape shine. Erwan brings expertise from biodynamic viticulture in Alsace, using preparations like nettle and chamomile teas, working soils consciously, and vinifying wines in the ancient fortress without additives. His aim is to craft age-worthy wines that authentically express Luceyâs glacial moraines and Jurassic limestone soils.
