ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Founded in 1997 by Moe and Flora Momtazi, Momtazi Vineyard was established on a former wheat farm near McMinnville, Oregon, with an unwavering commitment to Biodynamic farming. Rather than relying on chemicals to reclaim the land, the vineyard was restored naturally, and the first self-rooted Pommard Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1998. Today, the estate farms a diverse mix of Pinot Noir clones across Nekia, Yamhill, Peavine, and Jory soils.

Believing that great wine begins in the vineyard, the Momtazi family uses Biodynamic preparations, compost teas, and holistic farming practices to promote long-term soil and vine health. Nestled in the foothills of Oregon's Coast Range, the estate benefits from warm days, cool nights, and dry harvest conditions. Low yields and meticulous vineyard stewardship produce grapes that faithfully express the vineyard's unique terroir, earning the estate a reputation for exceptional quality.
